Titled in English, Spanish and French, this lithograph presents the Infancy of Jesus as a subject meant for a broad public. Nathaniel Currier issued it in New York around 1849, when his firm was producing inexpensive prints for homes and businesses across the country. The trilingual caption suggests Currier was aiming at multilingual buyers, including readers in the Spanish- and French-speaking world. The print is listed as number 3305 in the Currier & Ives catalog raisonné compiled by Gale Research in 1983.
