Unlike the park views on this board, this item is a map that puts Yellowstone National Park alongside the route of the Oregon Short Line Railroad, a Union Pacific subsidiary that carried passengers and freight across Idaho and the Intermountain West. Railroads of this period printed maps like this to promote travel, since trains were the main way most visitors reached the park, which Congress had set aside in 1872 as the first national park. Its date of 1910 falls in the years when rail companies competed hard for tourist traffic to the West's scenic destinations.
