The title reads "Traynor, Pittsburg," but the record says that wording comes from unverified data the National Photo Company wrote on the negative or its sleeve, so "Traynor" may refer to a person, business, or street rather than a place. The small glass negative is dated to about 1925 based on others in its group. The National Photo Company produced a large body of commercial and travel photographs across the United States in the early twentieth century, and this plate entered the Library of Congress as a 1947 gift from Herbert A. French. Viewers may notice streaks and blemishes, which come from natural deterioration of the original coatings on the glass.
