Few pictures on this board show a trade show as directly as this glass negative, which records an Addressograph Co. industrial exposition held in 1926. The company made machines that produced embossed metal address plates, a labor-saving tool for businesses handling large mailings before computers. The National Photo Company, which documented American cities and events in the early twentieth century, made the image, and it came to the Library of Congress as a 1947 gift from Herbert A. French. The title comes from unverified information the company wrote on the negative sleeve, and the glass shows streaks from deterioration of its original coating.
