A color lithograph from the 1919 Victory Loan campaign pairs a locomotive with an airplane and urges viewers to watch for the "airplane special," a promotional train that carried the drive to the public. Bond campaigns after World War I used such spectacles to bring the war effort home to towns across the country, and aircraft on display were still a novelty that drew crowds. The record credits Joseph Binder as artist. The combination of rail and air in one image reflects the mix of wartime industry and modern transport that the campaign wanted to celebrate.
