This 1917 lithograph pairs a line from General John J. Pershing with a convoy of trucks, making the case that food shipments must keep moving to both the front and the civilian population behind the lines. It was issued by the United States Food Administration, the wartime agency led by Herbert Hoover that asked Americans to conserve wheat, meat, and sugar so that supplies could reach Allied armies and European civilians. The slogan "Keep it coming, waste nothing" reflects that conservation push, and the poster is numbered 14 in the agency's series. It was printed in color by the W.F. Powers Co. in New York and credits the artist Stanislawa Sandecka.
