A railroad exhibit group, with the firm name Mellon & Lamont attached, sets this glass negative apart from the other railroad views on this board. The National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C., commercial studio active from the early 1900s into the 1930s, made pictures like this for clients who wanted records of events and displays. Its negatives later went to the Library of Congress, where many survive today. The title comes from notes the studio wrote on the negative or its sleeve and has not been independently verified, and the streaks in the glass reflect natural deterioration of the original coating.
