This 1902 color poster, credited to H.G. Laskey and published in Boston by J.F. Murphy, celebrates Princeton University football, one of the strongest college teams of the early 1900s. Its subject is the team itself, a theme that reflects how football had become a major public spectacle by then. Thanksgiving Day was the centerpiece of the college football calendar, and the season's biggest games, including Princeton's long rivalry with Yale, drew large crowds and wide press attention.
