The poster's caption, "It's never too late to mend," sets this sheet apart, pairing a proverb about repair with a title drawn from a cobbler's trade. Billed as a comedy drama full of tears and laughter, the play belongs to the touring theater of the early 1900s, when traveling companies relied on bold color lithographs to advertise each stop. This example was printed in 1907 by the U.S. Lithograph Co., and the Russell-Morgan Print firm of Cincinnati and New York, which produced many such posters for theatrical clients.
