Palm trees line both sides of a sandy lane in this panoramic view, with low bungalows set back from the road. The board places it among the beach and waterway pictures, which suggests the street runs close to the shore, the kind of seaside settlement that grew up along warm coastlines in the early twentieth century as visitors began arriving by automobile and rail. Panoramic formats were popular for recording such towns, since they could capture the whole row of houses and the open sky at once. Look at the spacing of the bungalows and the unpaved road to get a sense of how lightly these communities were built.
