Printed in London in 1915, this poster asks British readers to give on July 14, France's national day, in aid of the French Red Cross. It is credited to Forestier and was produced as a color lithograph by W.H. Smith & Son at the Arden Press on Stamford Street. Its subject headings point to nurses and to wartime fundraising, which invited British civilians to support France while the war was still being fought on French soil. Posters like this one show how appeals for relief reached ordinary streets and shop windows far from the front.
