The slogan "Viva Cuba, territorio libre de America," which translates as "Long live Cuba, free territory of the Americas," sets this 1968 color poster apart from the many other revolution-themed prints on this board. Its subjects in the catalog record include Fidel Castro's military service and the 1959 revolution, which Cuba marked with annual commemorations. The Library of Congress holds two duplicate copies, which were later reproduced in Gary Yanker's 1972 collection of American prop art. Posters like this one were part of a wider international circulation of revolutionary graphics in the late 1960s, when Cuban printing and Cold War politics often overlapped.
