A pair of watching eyes carries this poster's message: "The Hun is still watching!" The title urges Americans to show the enemy "we're in earnest" and "finish the job" by buying Victory Liberty Loan bonds. Liberty Loan drives were the federal government's main way of raising money for the war, and posters like this one brought the appeal into streets, workplaces and shop windows. "Hun" was the Allied nickname for Germans, and the eyes turn that wartime propaganda into a reminder that the home front was watching too.
