This glass negative is one of the few in the collection that names three men in its title: Francisco Villacorta, Dr. Bianchi, and E.T. Catamus. The record dates the exposure to January 6, 1921, and the names come from the National Photo Company's notes, which the Library of Congress lists as unverified. The National Photo Company worked in Washington, D.C., recording officials, visitors, and everyday events for newspapers and clients, so the plate fits that documentary purpose. Viewers should also notice the streaks and blemishes in the glass, which the archive attributes to natural deterioration of the original coating.
