This 1918 lithograph advertises a traveling war train carrying captured German cannons, helmets, gas masks, trench mortars (the poster calls them "minnenwerfers"), machine guns, and a whippet tank. Such exhibition trains toured towns to build support for war loan drives, letting crowds inspect enemy equipment up close at no charge. The poster is text only, with blank spaces left for local dates and venues, so each town could fill in its own details. Its stress on free admission and salvaged enemy gear shows how wartime bond campaigns turned spectacle into a way of selling public support.
