Dated May 19, 1924, this glass negative carries the title "Wallace golf," a label supplied by the National Photo Company and not independently verified, so the course and players are unidentified here. The company worked in Washington, D.C., and its plates reached the Library of Congress as a 1947 gift from Herbert A. French. Glass negatives of this age often show streaks and blemishes from deteriorating coatings, which is worth keeping in mind when judging the image.
