The poster's slogan, "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer!" ("One people, one realm, one leader"), is the detail that sets it apart. The Nazi regime used this phrase heavily in its propaganda in the 1930s, when the title "Führer" centered political authority on Adolf Hitler. The caption card credits the color offset printing to Carl Werner of Reichenbach im Vogtland, a small town in Saxony, but gives no date, so the printing history is unconfirmed. Posters like this were meant to promote national unity and loyalty to the leader, and they show how the regime used graphic design to reach ordinary citizens.
