This poster addresses unmarried men directly, asking whether they will enlist now or wait to be called up. Issued by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in 1915, it is a text-only color lithograph, numbered 157 in the committee's series, printed by David Allen & Sons of Harrow, a firm that produced many of Britain's wartime posters. Britain was still relying on volunteers at this stage, and mounting pressure on single men foreshadowed the conscription that followed in 1916. With no pictures to lean on, the poster's force rests entirely on its wording.
