Printed as a color lithograph in Rabat in 1917, this poster announces an exhibition of Moroccan art, its French title set across the top. It is signed by J. de la Nézière, and its subject headings link it to Moroccan military personnel of the First World War and to the artists working in Morocco in the 1910s. France had held a protectorate over Morocco since 1912, and Moroccan soldiers served in French forces during the war, so the poster ties the colony's cultural life to that wartime moment.
