A food convoy rolling into a city whose center had been wrecked is the practical side of the Blitz, and this print shows one of those relief efforts in Coventry. The raid of November 14, 1940, destroyed much of the medieval core, including the cathedral, and left many residents homeless and dependent on supplies from outside.
