Miss Ethel K. Brown appears in this glass negative, which the photographer's notes tie to a Knights Templar field day on October 21, 1925, though that title has not been independently verified. The National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C., commercial studio, produced many event pictures in the 1910s and 1920s, and this plate entered the Library of Congress collection as a 1947 gift from Herbert A. French. Viewers may notice streaks and blemishes across the glass, which the Library attributes to natural deterioration of the original coating.
