Addressed directly to "every Pennsylvanian," this silkscreen poster lays out a menu of home front jobs, from the Citizens Defense Corps and Citizens Service Corps to salvage drives and Victory Gardens. Its caption names American Unity as well, a reminder that civilian participation was framed as shared civic duty. The record attributes the design to artists Louis Hirshman and William Tasker and dates it to the early 1940s, a period when the Work Projects Administration's War Services Project produced posters urging wartime cooperation. A stamped date of January 21, 1943, places it in the middle of the war, when rationing and volunteer work were becoming part of daily life.
