Paul Krichell appears here as a St. Louis American League player, and the negative places him with the Browns in 1911. He was a catcher whose major league playing time was short, and he is better remembered as a scout who later signed Lou Gehrig for the New York Yankees in 1923. The picture came from the Bain News Service, a New York agency that sold news photographs to newspapers, and baseball researchers at the Society for American Baseball Research confirmed its title and date in 2006.
