The Santa Fe Railroad Station in Albuquerque, New Mexico, appears in this c1903 view from the Detroit Publishing Company's photograph collection. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway reached Albuquerque in 1880, and its line turned the town from a trading center along the Rio Grande into a rail hub for the Southwest. Detroit Publishing, known for tinted views and postcards of American places, documented many such depots as the railroad opened the region to visitors and settlers.
