A team photograph of the Commerce Jrs. baseball club from 1922 survives as a glass negative, a plate later printed from. The title comes from data the National Photo Company wrote on the negative or its sleeve, and the record marks it as unverified. Glass plates like this often show streaks and blemishes as their original coatings deteriorate, so some marks here reflect age rather than the scene itself. The National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C., studio, recorded local life in the early twentieth century, and Herbert A. French gave the plate to the Library of Congress in 1947.
