The Brooklyn Federal League club of 1914 belongs to one of the shortest-lived rival leagues in American baseball history. The Federal League operated as an independent major league for two seasons, 1914 and 1915, and it challenged the established National and American Leagues for players and fans. Brooklyn's entry played at Washington Park, which the team later shared with its rivals before the Federal League folded after the 1915 season. Panoramas of teams from this era were often sold as souvenirs, so this view also captures how clubs presented themselves to the public during the sport's early twentieth-century boom.
