Horse-drawn sleighs, with passengers seated in them, pull up before a house on a snowy day, the harnessed horses ready for a winter outing. Around 1904, sleighs were still a practical way to travel in cold weather, before automobiles had become common. The print was copyrighted by T.E. Marr of Boston, a sign that it was made as a commercial view for sale to the public. Its ordinary subject gives a useful glimpse of winter travel and daily life in the early 1900s.
