Two Democratic politicians share this frame: A. Mitchell Palmer, the Pennsylvania congressman, and Gov. Woodrow Wilson of New Jersey. The record gives no date, and the title comes from caption information the Bain News Service wrote on the negative, which has not been independently verified. The pairing is still telling, since Palmer became one of Wilson's closest allies during his rise to the presidency in 1912 and later served as attorney general in Wilson's administration. The Bain News Service, a New York agency, produced many glass negatives of politicians and public events in the early twentieth century.
