A 1922 glass negative of Miss Edna Annett Beveridge, dated March 18, comes from the National Photo Company Collection, the work of a Washington, D.C., commercial studio that recorded the city's residents, streets, and public events in the early twentieth century. The studio wrote the title on the negative or its sleeve, but the Library of Congress notes that it has not been independently verified, so the identification is best read as provisional. Viewers may notice streaks and blemishes across the glass, which the record attributes to natural deterioration of the original coatings. Herbert A. French gave the negative to the Library in 1947.
