A 1952 original from Charles Schulz's *Peanuts*, published October 19, shows Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy Van Pelt caught up in music and dance, with a "Yahoo!!" caption giving the scene its lively tone. Schulz had launched the strip in 1950, and the cast was still settling into the personalities later familiar to readers. The sheet was inked over a pencil layout, and the artist scraped away parts of the black ink to make white highlights, a common step in preparing newspaper art for reproduction.
