American Airlines used this poster to sell a winter trip that put Alta, Park City, Sundance and Salt Lake City within reach of one flight. In the late 1960s, Utah's mountains were drawing national attention for their deep powder, and resorts such as Sundance, a small area in Provo Canyon, were beginning to change hands and grow. Robert Redford's later purchase of Sundance and his renaming of the resort would give it a much wider reputation. The poster shows how airlines of the period marketed travel as much as the destinations themselves.
