For your boy" addresses parents and families directly, asking them to support the men overseas through a fundraising drive. Arthur William Brown designed this color lithograph for the United War Work Campaign, which ran from November 11 to 18, 1918, and pooled the appeals of several wartime welfare charities, the YMCA among them. The drive opened the same week the Armistice ended the fighting, so its message reached the public just as the war was ending and the need for soldiers' welfare work was still pressing. The Committee on Public Information's Division of Pictorial Publicity produced the poster.
