This color halftone reproduces a drawing by H.R. Erdt, a German illustrator, and advertises the aviation interests of the Aviatik firm, which the title places in Leipzig. The record dates it between 1917 and 1918, when German manufacturers were producing large numbers of military aircraft for the First World War.
