Children bowing their heads in prayer before a holiday meal are the focus of this stereograph, a c1919 scene from a children's Christmas dinner party. Keystone View Company, the Meadville, Pennsylvania firm known for its stereo cards, issued the picture as a pair of slightly offset photographs meant to be viewed through a stereoscope for a three-dimensional effect. Scenes of family customs like this were popular parlor entertainment in the years after World War I. The date comes from the original caption card and is not independently verified.
