Taken during the Boston Red Sox's 1912 championship season, this glass negative shows the team as it prepared for the World Series against the New York Giants. The Bain News Service caption card dates it to October 4, 1912, a few days before the Series opened at Fenway Park. Boston won the Series four games to three, with one game ending in a tie. The Bain News Service, a New York photo agency, produced the negative, and the Society for American Baseball Research's Pictorial History Committee refined its title in 2006.
