Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr share top billing on this poster, with Martin Benson also named, a lineup that points to the 1956 film version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical about an English schoolteacher hired to teach the children of a Siamese king. Brynner's shaven-headed monarch became one of the defining roles of his career, earning him an Academy Award. Benson played the king's chief minister, the Kralahome, in the film. The poster is undated and its printer is not recorded, but it shows how the story's imagery was marketed to audiences years after the musical's 1951 Broadway debut.
