Catalogued simply as a Ford automobile, this print shows a vehicle from the company's early years, when cars were still a novelty for most families. Ford's Model T, introduced in 1908 and built on a moving assembly line from 1913, cut prices enough to put a car within reach of ordinary buyers, and by the 1920s it was a common sight on American roads. The print is dated to around 1955, so it was likely made decades after the car itself, probably as part of the company's own photographic record.
