Here Walt Disney's name shares billing with humorist Robert Benchley, whose wry, sidelong manner anchors the poster's appeal. Benchley was a well-known magazine writer, drama critic, and performer of comic monologues, and the film built on that persona: a live-action frame follows him as a visitor touring the Disney studio, and an animated segment brings a gentle, reluctant dragon to life. The record dates the print to about 1937, several years before the film reached theaters in 1941, so the artwork reflects the studio's promotion of the project during its long development.
