Highly unlikely. Ever try to get a weekend reservation at George's, still among the best steak-oriented supper clubs in Ap'ton (and maybe still the top o' the heap)? Man, last time I tried for a reservation there, had to settle for the Blue Ox, or whatever the former "Alex's Crown" is now called. A place like "Lombardi's" will be fun on rare occasion for the typical Valley resident, but most of us still look toward bang for our buck, ya' know. A more expensive restaurant just makes George's look that much more reasonable. Plenty of room for everyone, but let's just hope Lombardi's cranks their prices about 250% when they have a Packer opponent staying at the Valley Inn, eh? ;-)

Thanks John, at least we got the ball rolling.

My pick for a bang for the buck place is The Legacy
on '47. Also The Pine Tree out on '54 has a lot
   of fans around here.

I try to keep up on what's going on with restaurants
and for those with similar interests, check out the magazine called _Wisconsin New Month_. Just recently, Simpson's Red Ox was reviewed in there by Ken Melchert, owner of the Harp Gallery just off
Hwy '41 at Prospect St. Ken does a fine dining restaurant
review for each issue of New Month.

It seems that the menu at The Red Ox has become quite
special... check out Ken's notes on it.

The Pine Tree is ok, if you do not mind waiting for at least an hour. Be sure that the wait staff bring out everything you ordered and that it is the correct temperature.

My husband and I have stopped going there as things are going downhill.
