I've had dim sum at 4 or 5 places in the ID, and I think House of Hong is the best dim sum. The Dim Sum Question

Second favorite (only 'cause I haven't been in a while) is Hong Kong Seafood in Rainier Beach. And third is the great place in Renton whose name escapes me at this time. If I really want to go to the ID (like with out of town friends) I will often go to China Gate which has good Dim Sum on the weekends - don't think it's as good during the week. Enjoy. Mary Ayres

They make particularly good Ha Gow and the best Yee Chee Gow. David Randall Yellow Tail Records [email removed] http://members.aol.com/ytrecords

House of Hong is the place in Renton. I will second the opinion regarding Noble Court. Quite possibly the best dim sum in the area. Not the cheapest, though. I do wish someone would restore the old Hong Kong site (well, eyesore is more like it) back to a good-quality dim sum house. Meanwhile, my last dim sum lunch at Ocean City was pretty good, and I've also enjoyed the offerings at Loong Foong, a few blocks east. But Noble Court, though... that place is *good*.
I do not claim to know a lot about Dim Sum but I do have many friends that do and they have been trying to educate me, so far I have tried the Dim Sum at The Ocean City In the Intl district and I have tried the Dim sum at Hongs Garden and In a place in Vancouver That I cant remember the name of. IMHO Hongs Garden wins because the food comes around faster and hotter. although they don't have the same amount of choices and it doesn't put out the same chile oil that I love that The Ocean City has. So that's my opinion try it you'll like it. and try the ocean city too, because of the area were it is located will create a mood of being out of Seattle and it will feel like an adventure.
