If you're coming in to the city, and you want something VERY urban, I'd
sugest The Sit-n-Spin cafe on 4th Ave in Belltown. It isn't really what
you'd call a formal dinning place (You order at a counter and take a table
marker with a movie star to identify you to the staff bringing your food)
but the joint has got that urban feeling in spades. The place is unique in
that it has a laundromat attached. Folks bring thier colthes in, have a meal
and coffee, play a board game from a wide selection, and socialise. It is a
good place to people watch, so you're sure to find some of that fun and
 excitement she's looking for.

The food is tasty, mostly sandwiches and salads, and becuase they don't
deepfry anything, is probablly healthier. I recomend the grilled chicken
which is served with coleslaw and taco chips. Remember though that the
accent at Sit-n-Spin is on the atmosphere. It is more of a laidback meeting
 place then a diner.

Hope you find something that pleases her. :)

     Dave
