Thanksgiving at Salty's?

 My husband & I have "done" Salty's for Thanksgiving & Xmas/Chanukah for
the past 2 years. We like it very much. The only bummer is that you
can't reserve a window seat. Oh well. Enjoy!

 Cheers!

 The view is mighty impressive.

The size of the menu is impressive.

Unfortunately, that's the only thing positive I can say. I think that
Salty's may be *THE* most over-priced restaurant in the city. The last
time I went there was last december for my partner's Christmas
party...They had the gall to ask $45 for a whole dungeness crab. The
$30-$45 steaks are usually improperly cooked -- they don't seem to
understand the meaning of rare. Wine list is pure shit.

I once had Ahi that was supposed to be "rare". Instead, it was served
well-done but cold....go figure. I could go on and on, but suffice it to
say that I've never found anything to be even remarkable and at their
prices, I think it's an outrage. I wonder what local food critics have to
 say ?

I've now been there for a host of reasons more than a dozen times --
mostly on other peoples nickel -- and the only thing I look forward to is
being able to get sloshed with the awesome view. As my partner -- who is
not a foodie -- once said "Salty's is okay if you go expecting nothing
to taste particularly good and don't have to pay -- at least the view
 rocks".
