Damn, that's an interesting category - "exotic" restaurants. What's next, "erotic" restaurants - famous for serving foods for their aphrodisiac, rather than their gastronomic, qualities? From the American Heritage Dictionbary: ex·ot·ic adj. 1. From another part of the world; foreign. 2. Intriguingly unusual or different; excitingly strange. 3. Of or involving striptease. Let's see - exotic restaurants in Seattle???? For those seeking the "gastronomically exotic" (#1) There are many excellant Asian restaurants in the International District (My favorites are Ocean City & Sea Garden), Italian cuisine (Carmine's Il Terrazo in Pioneer Square & Saleh al Lago on Green Lake), French cuisine (Relais on Bothel Way & Bistro Provencal in Kirkland). For those seeking the "aromatically exotic" (#2) The Bread of Life Mission on 1st Avenue in Pioneer Square, Forecaster Room at the Redhook Brewery in Woodinville (Everyone should be personally familiar with the fragrance of their brew being made.) Now, if one were to seek the "exotic/erotic" eateries in the area, where would one go??? Hmmm... Oyster shooters at Rays maybe? Or how about the dark chocolate coated candied ginger at Boehme's in Issaguah?? Robert Harmon
