I went to the Caspian Grill in the U. District last night (about 53rd and
 University Way). GREAT FOOD!

I was meeting a friend for dinner. We ordered the Caspian Plate, a mixed
grill of chicken, steak and a meat/onion concoction. We also ordered a
stew of beef with pomegranate and walnut sauce. Amazing!

The grilled meat was unusually tender, moist and flavorful. The stew was
 really sublime.

This is definitely a meat-eater's treat. The only greens in sight were a
small plate of sliced cucumber, tomatoes and onions served before the
meal. No salad came with, though I could have ordered it on the side. The
mixed grill came with a fried half-tomato.

But this is definitely going on my list of "visit more" places.
