uh, I live here and I don't think Jeff Smith has a restaurant. I wouldn't know about the bookstore. BUT, he does eat almost every Sunday at the Sea Garden in the Int'l District by downtown. Also one of *my* favorite restaurants ;-) Its chinese, specializing in seafood dishes. Mostly cantonese with some szechuan thrown in. YUM. Have the crab in ginger & green onion ;-) also don't miss their pan-fried noodles. And the salt & pepper prawns.
