My wife and I will be in these two cities on vacation in early October on Monday and Tuesday nights respectively. We are searching for recommendations for FINE dining. We travel to EAT. So far we have come up with Gasperetti's Gourmet Restaurant in Yakima and Pine Tavern Restaurant in Bend. We know about Birchfield Manor in Yakima, but they do not serve dinner on Mondays. I'm not sure I'd call it FINE dining, since its cafeteria style, but man oh man, its the real thing as far as I'm concerned. Have a cheese enchilada (they do the sauce Right, IMO) also the tacos are wunnerful, wunnerful. PLUS added bonus you can take home some of their lovely tortillas, etc. YUM. I can recomend several Fine restaurants in my home town of Bend, Or. Best is either "Coho Grill" on Fargo Lane (address unknown) or "Rosette" in downtown Bend. Another great and unusual place is "Cafe Rosmary" also in the downtown area. There are others but if you really love "fine dining" any of these three will not disappoint you.
