On the Eastside, I have to say I like Shaminana in Kirkland (enjoyed
it each & every time I've been there, and while not terribly spicy,
the dishes still have a great amount of flavor).

I DON'T like Raga in Bellevue (specializing in bland soupy dishes @
lunch), or Mayuri (potatoes, potatoes, potatoes)

Haven't been to Moghul Palace yet, nor India Gate (though I think I'll
now stay away from the latter now).

Try Sahib in Edmonds. Owner once ran Chutneys,
which used to get rave reviews. Excellent,
 excellent, excellent!

I believe Chutney's is on 1st Avenue just south of Mercer Street. There are
2 other locations (Wallingford & Capital Hill), but I think the original
 location is still the best.
