A co-worker of mine once said that in California, Mexican food is often prepared by people from Mexico, in Washington it's often prepared by people from California, and in Canada it's prepared by people who have visited US border states a few times... He said that the Canada-Mex food was usually pretty good, but it wasn't really Mexican anymore. Too many levels of indirection. I guess that since I grew up here, I've never had authentic Mexican food. But I have had stuff that I really liked. Check out the Tijuana in Monroe. It's a little hole in the wall, but it's the best Mexican food that I've found so far in Snohomish County. -John
