I like Big Time but its basically a nachos - hot dog type of place. I think Hales has better food. Hales - Good food & beer, don't like the place for reasons I can't explain. Pyramid - Good food, OK beer. Too light for my tastes. Gordon Beirch - good food, don't like the atmosphere or beer much. McMennamins (3 locations) - Good beer, good food, very good prices. Elysian - Great beer, pretty fair food, very good prices. Have fun! Greg.

Chicken & salmon sandwiches are very bland. I opt for the ESB. I had the 10oz. sirloin there last night and it was great...with white-cheddar mashers and side-salad. With 2 ESB's, the bill was ~$25 Redhook: Woodinville: A salmon-sandwich special is OK. I usually go for the outdoor seating on a weekend-afternoon and order a pitcher and the cheese & fruit board. Bigtime: GREAT beer and OK Pizza. RAM: Standard fried pub-fare. Good for a stand-by, but rather boring. Hales: Pretty good burgers and sandwiches. Weird atmosphere that I've never been able to explain.
RAM in U Village is very gernerous in their portions (especially the fish and chips) and boasts one of the best sports-watching venues in the city. I wouldn't be surprised if they started selling PSL's during football season. :) Great beer, too. Dad Watson's in Fremont is really good and resonably priced. Just don't show up when they're preparing a new vat of beer downstairs, the smell of wet yeast tends to permeate the entire block. Good variety of beers here, also.
