Sezchuan Gallery--Tried and liked

Sezchuan Gallery is my favorite Chinese restauraunt in DC, by far. The other places in Chinatown that are supposed to be the best (China Inn, for instance) didn't do it for me.

Several years ago, my father and I both had the pork in garlic sauce. We were sitting at the table crying, banging or hands on the table, and saying "Oh, this is great, do you want some more..." (In case you haven't figured it out, we were crying because it was SPICY.)

Was just there for lunch last week... still up to snuff.

IMHO, they have the best Hot&Sour soup. (H&S is my bellweather for a restaurant -- if the soup is no good, neither is the restaurant.)

Just look for the green doorway.....

Great places for baked Pork buns (bao) --

Silver Palace on 7th --- $0.70 each

and a place just off the corner of 6th & H (on 6th), next to magazine/comic shop -- "something, something, restaurant and bakery" --- $0.75 each (and just slightly better than Silver Palace).
